Yesterday, Apple introduced two products aimed at the Education market: iBooks Author and iBooks 2, an updated version of iBooks that allows for interactive textbooks. Much has been written (already) about iBooks Author, but there seems to be some confusion about what it is and what it’s for.

It’s been 2 weeks since Apple announced the iPad, and there’s no shortage of commentary on the upcoming device. I’ve read, and thought about, all the criticisms. Most are missing the point.
