The tagline says it all: “Thousands of video lectures from the world’s top scholars.” While Academic Earth is a relatively new site, it already offers an impressive array of videotaped lectures from UC Berkely, Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, and Yale. And did I mention everything on the site is free? Not only is the content free, it’s also free to download to your computer or embed in your website.

The Academic Earth website is clearly laid out and very easy to use. You can browse by subject, university, instructor, or playlists, which are thematic collections of lectures put together by the Academic Earth editors.

Subjects include: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, English, Entrepreneurship, History, Law, Mathematics, Medicine, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, and Religion.

Visit Academic Earth.
